Anna chakra scheme is released by government of Karnataka information

A new portal “Anna Chakra” has been launched. The central government has extended free ration scheme to 80 crore poor people of the country till 2028.

He said that India is giving free food grains worth Rs 2.20 lakh crore every month.

Launching Anna chakra Yojana, Union Food Minister Prahlad Joshi said that India is providing free ration to twice the population of the European Union.

An attempt has been made to solve the problems of food department through “Anna Chakra” portal. Transportation cost and time will be savedMinister Pralhad Joshi explained that the efficiency of the food department will increase.

He said that the Union Food and Public Distribution Department has tried to achieve major milestones in 4 focus areas in the first 100 days of the 3rd term of the NDA government.

Strengthening through technology: Digitization of food department operations, modernization of procurement and logistics, strengthening of Fair Price Shops (FPS) and organizations under the department have been taken through technology, he said.

The food security scheme, Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyana Anna Yojana, was launched in April 2020 and was last extended in February 2023, he said.

At present, some beneficiaries are getting ration grain every month at a measly price of ₹ 1-3 kg, he said.
Leakage worth Rs 3 Lakh Crore: Minister Joshi said that leakage worth ₹ 3 Lakh Crore is being prevented through digitalization in PDS along with rooting out corruption.

As per Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s direction, we are transitioning to digital for curbing corruption at every sector and level. This not only increases efficiency, but also saves leakage and time. He asserted that quick operation would be possible
