Sweet news from the government to the farmers of the state. Agriculture Minister N. Chaluvarayaswamy, who held a news conference in the Assembly, announced that he had decided to give a minimum support price (MSP) for 18 agricultural and horticulture products as per the decision of the Subcommittee of the Cabinet.

Declarated Support Price Profile:

Under this scheme, it is decided to buy a crop of 15 lakh metric tonnes.
It is intended to buy 6 lakh metric tonnes of millet.
Per quintal ₹ 4,886 per millet
Buy up to a maximum of 50 quintals from each farmer
Buy 3 lakh metric tonnes of paddy:
Paddy support price per quintal ₹ 2,369
Buy up to a maximum of 25 quintal
3 lakh metric ton of white corn:
Per quintal ₹ 3,669
Buy up to a maximum of 150 quintal

The registration process will start from September. Farmers can register their crops under this scheme. The minister explained further and said that the decision would be directly benefited by the farmers and the protection of the crop price
