PM KUSUM YOJANA SCHEME INFORMATION

The PM Kusum plan has been planned to complement India’s efforts in the United Nations’ goal to alleviate the climate change problem. It is a project to increase solar power generation which is an alternative and green fuel.

Farmers can use their barren land for solar power generation. Send additional power to the grid after their own use, you can earn income. Discams or power transmission companies in the state buy solar power from farmers.

The purpose of this project?

The Government of India launched a PM-Kusum on March 8, 2019 to reduce diesel dependence on agriculture, to provide fuel and water security to farmers and increase their income. During the period 2020-21, the project was extended from its practical phase

The benefits of the project

The project opens up a stable and continuous income source for 25 years using their dry/agricultural land for rural landlords. Furthermore, if the cultivated space is selected to set up a solar power project, the farmers can continue to grow crops by installing solar panels at least altitude
