NOTIFICATION
Whereas the draft of the Karnataka General Services (Pre-University Education)
(Recruitment) (Amendment) Rules, 2024 was published as required by sub-section (1)
of section 3 read with section 8 of the Karnataka State Civil Services Act, 1978
(Karnataka Act 14 of 1990) in Notification No.ED 185 DGD 2017 (Part-3)
dated 1st August 2024 in part-IV-A of the Karnataka Gazette dated 21st August 2024
inviting objections and suggestions from all persons likely to be affected thereby
within fifteen days from the date of its publication in the official Gazette.
And whereas said Gazette was made available to the public on 21st August 2024.
And whereas the objections and suggestions received within the period specified
above, have been considered by the Government.
RULES
1. Title and commencement.- (1) These rules may be called the Karnataka
General Services (Pre-University Education) (Recruitment) (Amendment) Rules,
2024.
(2) They shall come into force from the date of their final publication in the
Official Gazette.
2. Amendment of Schedule.- In the schedule to the Karnataka General
Services (Pre-University Education) (Recruitment) Rules, 2013 (hereinafter referred as
the said rules) in the entries relating to the category of the post of " Lecturers,
Government Pre-University Colleges" at serial number
For Direct Recruitment.- Must have passed Master Degree in second
class with minimum of fifty-five percent of marks in the subjects specified in the
table annexed to the schedule with a Bachelor Degree in Education (B.Ed.) or its equivalent:
Scheduled Castes
or Scheduled Tribes must have passed Master Degree with fifty percent of marks
in the subject specified in the table annexed to the schedule with a Bachelor
Degree in Education (B.Ed.) or its equivalent."
